Selina expands into the wellness economy through a new partnership with Mantra, a global retreat operator

The expansion into the retreat economy is a first for Selina and will build a separate entity dedicated solely to developing these enriching wellness experiences

Selina Hospitality PLC. the burgeoning lifestyle and experiential hospitality company focusing on millennial and Gen Z travellers has established a strategic partnership with Mantra, a global retreat operator, to curate wellness retreats throughout Selina’s network of 163 locations across twenty-five countries and six continents.

The expansion into the retreat economy is a first for the hospitality label and will build a separate entity dedicated solely to developing these enriching wellness experiences. Per Global Wellness Institute, the wellness economy is estimated to achieve $7.0 trillion in 2025. The Mantra partnership allows Selina to tap into this expanding business segment all whilst maximizing concerted effort throughout distribution and operating expenses.

Curating local wellness talent

Mantra is known for its transformative programs that create unique experiences by bringing together the best wellness instructors of yoga, meditation, and movement with culinary experiences, day trips, and live music to deliver a full mind, body, and soul retreat. The mantra would be curating local wellness talent (chefs, teachers, musicians, and so on) and creating tailored programs across Selina’s global and diversified hotel system, be it deep-rooted in the jungle the desert, or any amount of Selina’s cool, metropolitan locales.

Selina is delighted to advocate a brand like Mantra and to be at the vanguard of this advancement in global travel and retreat experiences, said Selina VP Strategy, Steven O’Hayon.

The company sees its partnership as an incredible opportunity to connect with new customers and to enter the wellness market by offering leaders, teachers, and coaches magnificent spaces to bring about their inimitable skills and experiences to people across the globe, said O’Hayon.

Mantra systematized more than fifty retreats, corporate offsites & festivals

Earlier to partnering with Selina, Mantra had systematized more than fifty retreats, corporate offsites & festivals since its formation in June 2020. These events, which hosted all over 5,000 people, transpired in Greece, Israel, Cyprus, Egypt, and Sri Lanka, and now through this collaboration would expand out to a lot more locations worldwide.

Partnering with a company that espouses such analogous principles and quality principles as Mantra is a dream for the company, said Doron Domb, Mantra Founder & CEO.

Having the assistance of the hospitality label at this point allows them to tap into their vast global reach and advanced systems to scale its presence and grow their community said Mr. Domb.
