The platform streamlines the process of order integration and management for merchants, giving them extra flexibility to process orders

eBay Inc., a global commerce leader that connects millions of buyers and sellers across the globe, today announced the unveiling of ‘‘Cross Border Parcel Shipping Solution’’ or ‘‘CPaSS’’, a new cross-border parcel delivery integration platform encompassing at present eight markets, including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines in the Asia Pacific region, aiding merchants to select from multiple logistics shipping solutions on a particular platform. The platform streamlines the process of order integration and management for merchants, giving them extra flexibility to process orders from various accounts all together while enhancing work efficiency and the total shipping experience on eBay.

Subsequently, with the precipitous growth of cross-border e-commerce in recent years, merchants are progressively considering ways to improve the efficiency of processing orders and handling customers’ increasing demands. Furthermore, logistics prices have skyrocketed due to pandemic-induced disruptions in the global supply chain, creating the necessity for more effective delivery platforms much more acute.

At present, the CPaSS platform presents service options from seven international logistic carriers, as well as Speed PAK (Orange Connex) Logistics Service, Hong Kong Post, Chunghwa Post (Taiwan), DHL Express, Thailand Post, Aramex, and DHL eCommerce Solutions. Merchants can select services centered on their requirements and save on superfluous costs. To support merchants, manage cross-border shipping orders more effectively, CPaSS also arrives with ‘‘Harmonized System (HS)’’ code functionality, granting sellers to ship commodities with ease to various regions with just the pertinent inventory unit information. On completion of each order, the CPaSS platform will inevitably store shipment information, making it simpler for sellers to deal with orders for repeat customers.

Vidmay Naini, Regional General Manager for Southeast Asia and India at eBay stated that eBay has constantly backed merchants in exploring overseas markets. For their SEA small and medium-sized merchants on eBay, there is huge demand for easy yet effective logistics solutions. The CPaSS comprehensive shipping platform is tailored for merchants in the Asia Pacific region, enabling them to streamline resources, reduce time expended on logistics operations and focus on expanding their cross-border businesses.

Naini added that eBay would continue to bring together new logistics solutions to the CPaSS platform with the aim of helping SMEs maximize cross-border e-commerce opportunities and achieve overall accomplishment.

The eBay CPaSS comprehensive cross-border parcel delivery platform has the following benefits:

  1. Comprehensive management: Merchants can use a single CPaSS account to harmonise orders from various eBay accounts
