Mubadala Health and assets light up facilities in blue to observe World Diabetes Day

Mubadala Health, as a network of world-class healthcare providers, is raising diabetes awareness by lighting up its facilities in blue on November 14, World Diabetes Day.

Under the 2022 theme, ‘‘Education to Protect Tomorrow’’, Mubadala Health and its portfolio of world-class partners will emphasize the need for better access to exceptional diabetes education for healthcare specialists, people living with diabetes, and their loved ones, whereby prioritizing evidence around diabetes and chronic disease management.

Mubadala’s Health’s partners offer access to ongoing education to aid patients to realize their condition to take responsibility for their health. Mubadala Health also participates in research and training, as well as training the next generation of Emirati healthcare specialists to help pause the spread of the disease.

As part of the diabetes awareness initiative, Mubadala Tower, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, Danat Al Emarat Women & Children’s Hospital, HealthPlus Diabetes & Endocrinology Center and Moorfields Eye Hospital Abu Dhabi, will illuminate their facades in blue for World Diabetes Day.

Imperial College London Diabetes Centre was unveiled in 2006 to address the growing demand for diabetes care in the UAE. Ever since it has not only offered a broad spectrum of care to its patients for the treatment of diabetes and its associated complications, but it has also conducted workshops for private and public organizations, including schools based in Abu Dhabi to further educate the public on diabetes deterrence and treatment. During the period 2022, the center has also aided screen and educating more than 4,600 people across a diverse range of age groups.
